Just fifty years ago Tysons Corner was a sleepy cross roads with nothing more than a gas station. In those few decades Tysons has become the Twelfth largest business district, and the largest shopping destination outside of New York City, on the East Coast. But all of this development has been suburban in nature, and was part of the inspiration for a book called Edge City. Now plans are unfolding to convert Tysons into a true urban environment. At this site we document those changes as best as possible.

This site is by Joshua Davis, a resident of Nearby resident of Reston. This blog in no way attempts to be neutral. The authors want to see Tysons become an urban environment.
